What are three things you want to accomplish this year?
Health is always a priority and I really need to get more disciplined with food prep, especially when I’m teaching at night. When I finish the class I need my meals already prepped, otherwise, I’m reaching for anything I can find. And healthy food options aren’t always at hand.
I’m moving house early this year, so my goal is to create the healthiest environment for my home sector possible.
This is similar to my first answer, and it’s growing my business, it’s an ongoing priority of mine, I need to innovate, keep creating, yet keep the consistency that my clients need. My business needs to be seamless, with steady growth. Easier said than done.
How are your family and friends doing with the whole Covid crisis
Everyone here has stayed so positive, most of my friends have children and they’ve coped so well with working from home and homeschooling their children. I really take my hat off to them.
What’s one place you want to travel to when we can all travel again?
Oh I’ve been there so many times, and it’s nothing fancy, but I’m missing my annual trip to Bali so bad! If not a cheap little Bali getaway, I’d be on a plane to the Maldives, I’ve been there before and it’s just stunning, words can’t even describe. But back to Bali, it’s just so laid back, it’s super affordable and just a great place to unwind, train and eat great food.
Do you have any fitness goals this year?
Definitely! Always looking to maintain, but wanting to get stronger functionally, rather than focusing on aesthetics, I believe if I strive towards strength and health goals, the by-product of increased strength will help aesthetically. If that makes sense.
If you check out your Instagram you’re a big foodie. How have what you eat has changed, and what are you eating now?
Ok, this is a weird one, in fact, I’ve gotten a little more relaxed in some areas, yet stricter in others. When I say more relaxed, I’m not so scared of carbs and fruit sugar, I used to restrict these so heavily. I’ve learned the nutrients from fruit and carbs from good sources gives me so much more energy without the weight gain I feared. Something else I’ve been incorporating more often is a good cut of meat, I just don’t share this often on Instagram due to the scrutiny around meat-eating. But my energy levels are better and it’s easier to feel satiated from some meat and veg as opposed to the mountain of salad I need to eat to feel satisfied.
