When it comes to my fitness clients many have come under the mistaken belief that if they eat less they will lose weight. However, when you severely reduce calorie intake the body holds on to fat and uses muscle stores as energy, which can slow metabolism. When I put clients on a correct macro plan for their body stats and workout program the results show. My favorite is when im able to boost a clients metabolism which allows them to eat more, help them lose weight and keep it off, while also giving them way more energy.
What’s the typical Saturday night look like for you? What do you do for fun?
My schedule is very hectic so when I get some down time and I am not traveling, I enjoy being at home. I also love to spend quality time with my family. It doesn’t take too much to please me. Whether it’s cooking, watching a movie, or enjoying a day of shopping- I am happy.
You say you switched over and compete with the WBFF are you planning on competing again anytime soon?
I started in NPC and furthered as a national qualified competitor. I ended up changing federations and now hold a WBFF Fitness Pro tittle. I could see myself competing at WBFF Worlds down the road. I still love the industry because of the dedication, disipline and strength behind it but for now im focusing on balance, my clients, and maintaing a physique that is consistent all year around.
From being a fitness model/businesswoman to training hundreds of clients, it’s obvious (and inspiring) you’ve come a long way. What’s the best part about being a fitness influencer?
The best part is being able to make a living doing what I love most. As a social media influencer I can reach such a wide variety of people on one platform all around the world. I am able to inspire others to fulfill their own journey around something im so passionate about. I find it totally fascinating and want to share with everyone how you can change your body and mental health through good nutrition and exercise. I also have the privilege to meet so many talented and like minded people in the industry.
What’s the one aspect you’d say you enjoy the most about being a fitness model?
The fact that I can share my story and past struggles from being a 5’10 90lb “skinny agency model” to pursuing my career as a built 150lb inspirational fitness model and online coach– to be someone who is healthy and beautiful, inside but most importantly inside out. I want to empower others to feel the same confidence and strength that I do. I want to keep it raw, real, and relatable. If I can do it so can YOU!
