How and when did you get started in training and living a fit lifestyle?
I started in sports at a very young age so I was always practicing and training for something, but it wasn’t until college where I trained as a track and field heptathlete, pole vaulter and cheerleader that I began incorporating nutrition to further my results. After graduating with a bachelor in Physical Education/ Kinesiology & Business I began working as a personal trainer and Health and Wellness Director for the YMCA where I continued my journey becoming a certified spin instructor, group class instructor, Aquatics Director, college swim instructor, Silver Sneakers Instructor and kids fitness instructor. During that time I also took my lifting and nutrition to the next level and began competing in Bikini competitions and eventually turned pro. I no longer compete but enjoy that I have found the perfect balance of living a healthy and fit lifestyle that allows me to eat what I want when I want (in moderation) and still be within striking distance for events or photos shoots.
What types of cardio have worked best for you and what’s a typical workout you do during the week?
By nature, I am a short distance sprinter and I have learned through the years that my body reacts best to 50% high-intensity interval training and 50% steady state cardio. The HIIT keeps me interested, keeps my body guessing, is always a challenge and helps me to lose weight faster while tightening and toning my muscles.
My workouts are typically circuit style based and I choose 2-3 body parts to train each session and always include a few extra booty/ glute exercises. I like to incorporate my HIIT in between my lifting rounds so I get it all done in less time! Instead of spending 30 min to an hour on a treadmill I prefer to use that time for yoga on my rest days.
I live a very fast paced and hectic lifestyle on the road traveling… So I have to be very flexible with how and when I train. BUT I always make sure to get in at least 1 session per week no matter what because if you don’t use it- you lose it!! Any amount of training you can fit in is better than none… and I am a true testament to that. So if you’re out there thinking “if I can’t train 5 days per week I might as well forget it” STOP THOSE THOUGHTS IMMEDIATELY AND DO WHAT YOU CAN WHEN U CAN! :-)
What supplements do you use… and what are some of your favorites you would recommend?
I use Formulation 1 Pre-Workout, Aminos and the Women’s All-in-One. I also use CLA, Vitamin D, ZMA, Glutamine & a joint supplement.
What should I guy do to catch the eye of a fitness girl?
He should be fit himself, but not overly consumed by his appearance. He should also be romantic, a gentleman that opens your door and sends you flowers on occasion or just because. He should encourage you to pursue your dreams and show support however he can. He shouldn’t feed into drama or be overly jealous- huge turn offs!
When you look back what do you think has been the key to achieving your goals?
Always having a goal, having positive people around me, learning how to stay disciplined to forge my own path and not what other people think I should be or do, and just flat out hard work!

What’s next for you?
Continuing to build our new business: The Nspire Sports League! It’s a new physique competition league born out of the necessity for fair competition, transparency, healthier divisions that are more attainable and fit more body types and more opportunity for the competitors. It’s a worldwide league and because we signed with UTA The United Talent Agency, our events will be recorded and produced to be aired on TV! We are also expanding our clothing line and so much more!!
