Brittney Stracener #FGFeature Friday Girl of the Week (May 16th)

How did you get started in fitness?

My aunt is a Bikini Pro for the NPC, she inspired me to compete in Bikini which I did at the 2011 Europa in Dallas, TX where I took second. From there on out I knew I always wanted to be in the best physical shape I could be, and knew I wanted to make my mark on the fitness industry!

How do you stay motivated in your career?

I am a personal trainer. It’s easy for me to stay motivated! In order to motivate my clients I must live the lifestyle, act and look the part! My body is my business card!

What’s your favorite music to workout to?

I love to listen to anything from pop, hard core rap or crazy dubstep or EDM music.

What’s your favorite cheat meal?

My favorite “naughty” meal is of course PIZZA!!! Topped with lots of pepperoni’s and jalapeños!

How do you deal with cravings?

I deal with my cravings with the dieting approach I have. I follow IIFYM/Flexible Dieting. I eat what I want and when I want it. I’m just very conscious of my macronutrient breakdown. When I feel like I want more than what my daily allotment is, I usually drink a diet soda or diet powerade!

What does your diet consist of?
My diet consists of lots of lean protein (96/4 Ground Beef is my favorite),high fiber foods like berries and wraps, I love Greek yogurt and have it daily!

What are your 3 favorite exercises?

Dead-Lifts – because they not only work your hamstrings and glutes but they have also given me a very strong core and back. I always feel like a beast when I dead-lift!

Lunges – because I get sore every single time I do them! I feel like these really target my glutes as well. Remember push up through your heel!

Lateral Raises – I Love capped shoulders, and this movement has been the best for really sculpting my delts!

Which female celebrity’s physique do you admire the most?

I love Cameron Diaz! She is always in the most amazing shape! I think it’s funny when the media tries to portray her as “too muscular!” I think she is the perfect mix of muscle and femininity.

What celebrity male’s physique do you find idea on guys?

I admire “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson. I mean C’MON look at him! I use his social media accounts to motivate me with my own workouts! He is just so dedicated!

What supplements would you use or recommend?

I recommend Protein powder just because I find most people are really low on their protein intake and this makes it super easy to get in! I also recommend “Yohimbine” as a fat burner, I take this in the AM and before I do cardio!

What are you top 10 songs to workout to?

Jennifer Lopez- Papi
Ty Dolla $ign- Paranoid
Iggy Azalea- Change your life
Drake- Pound Cake
Tinashe- Boss
Maritn Garrix- Animals
Swedish House Mafia- Save the world
Meek Mill- Believe it
Rich Homie Quan- Type of way
Gym Class Heroes- Viva la white girls

Do you have any advice or inspirational words for someone who is aspiring to get into the fitness world?

Never Settle, Never give up and keep pushing. It took me four years to get where I am. Being fit and staying fit takes consistency! Sometimes that means trial and error! If you have a bad day, don’t dwell… move on and do better the next day!
