Kristie McKeon #FGFeature Friday Girl of the Week: Fitness Model/UFC Octagon Girl


How did you get started in fitness?
I started when I was quite young my parents got me started, I have done everything from gymnastics to athletics even to Rugby and touch football so I’ve had to train my whole life for different sports at different times now I just enjoy keeping fit although I do miss the competitive side sometimes.

How do you stay motivated in your career?
I like the challenge, anyone can go out and eat whatever they like and not train but it’s quite a discipline to look after yourself and train almost everyday. I also like to feel confident about my body at photo shoots or on tv so if I have an important event coming up I like to train extra hard and eat particularly healthy, confidence is sexy.

What’s your favorite music to workout to?
Long DJ mixes because it’s easier than creating a playlist, usually has a fast beat to keep you motivated, and you don’t have to go through skipping tracks.

What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Everything and anything I’m a sucker for candy and chocolate oh and icrecream, I’ve got the worst sweet tooth I try to keep it to the weekend though.

How do you deal with cravings?
I like things like chocolate protein balls and making healthy snacks that taste so good it feels like I’m eating something naughty. Example: protein ice-cream or a natural healthy slice made at home so I know exactly what goes into it.

Lots of protein, vegetables, fruit, and nuts.

What are your 3 favorite exercises?
Squats and lunges for my legs and booty
And I also enjoy boxing for a good cardio workout.

Which female celebrity’s physique do you admire the most?
Candice Swanepoel, who doesn’t? She’s amazing in every way and her long lean limbs are sexy but she still looks toned and healthy I love that.

What supplements would you use or recommend if any?
I love BodyScience products my favorites are banana protein, pre workout, BCAA & coconut protein bars.

What are you top 10 songs to workout to?
I don’t really have a top 10 I like to listen to DJ mixes that go for an hour or so and just mix into each other. I like DJs usually that do the Ibiza party scene they get you motivated, like my friend Liam Irwin.

What’s next for you?
I recently moved 90% of the year to the UK as I’m working over here for the European side of the UFC as their octagon girl so I’m trying to settle in here, my next UFC show will be in Germany on May 31st.
