Jade Bryce – Interview & Photos

How and when did you get started in training and living a fit lifestyle?
I struggled with eating disorders as a teen, & as I got into my twenties I broke free from those. The only way I did that was thru learning to love my body. To me, that included changing not only the damage I was doing, but also reversing it by taking care of my body thru nutrition & exercise. Because of the strength I felt thru this change in lifestyle, it became a passion. Now I want to motivate others to do the same.

What got you started in the fitness industry?
Other than the above, I was hired as a ring girl for Bellator MMA, & that job goes hand in hand.

Along your fitness journey, have you ever felt like quitting… and if so what/who motivated you to keep going?
There have been plenty of times that I felt like I was not cut out for it anymore, especially the older that I get. But the positivity that you feel when you stick to it.. & the way it changes your mindset & relationships because of that, I know I’m in it for the long haul.

Does being around Mixed Martial Arts inspire you to stay fit?
Absolutely! Nothing like wearing a bikini on TV every week to keep you from lacking motivation!

Congrats on being a new mother. What struggles did you have in getting back in shape after your baby?
It’s very hard because I breastfeed. The best “diet” for me is high fat & low carbs.. But that means low production of breast milk. High (healthy) fat is great for the baby, but low carbs just doesn’t produce milk for him.. & breastfeeding is one of the best things you can do for your baby. It’s amazing. So right now I eat way more carbs than I normally would.. & that makes it very hard to tighten & tone up. But it’s just for a year or so, & then I can really get my body where I want it! For now, I have to find the balance & know that it’s a worthy sacrifice.

What types of cardio have worked best for you?
Hiking! Not only is it up & downhill so a great workout.. But being in nature is healing. So it is doubly motivating. I lived by Runyon Canyon in Hollywood for 3 years, & that was the best my cardio ever was & the best my butt & legs ever looked! Also, insanity really got my abs cut & is a quick workout that I could do while on the road. Mixing the two really worked for me!

What supplements do you use… and what are some of your favorites you would recommend?
I stick to vegan & raw protein. It has been best for me in so many ways. I make sure to get one that has plenty of probiotics & fruits & vegetables included in the blend. I steer clear from whey & anything with ingredients I can’t pronounce.
I take activated charcoal every day, with fish oil, collagen, & turmeric.
I also drink warm lemon water every morning with apple cider vinegar, mct oil, coconut oil, chia seeds & a bit of pink sea salt. I’ve noticed a ton of benefits from this blend- I never get sick, I have more energy, better digestion, & better skin. I try to have grass fed butter daily. The benefits are amazing.

Shot some swimwear w/ @kennysweeney411 last week.. I've been wanting to work with him for a few years.. ????????

When you look back what do you think has been the key to achieving your goals?
I have always wanted a platform that allowed me to inspire others to not give up, & to be kind to one another. I thought that the bigger the platform, the wider the reach. Keeping my eyes on that goal has made the others easier to achieve, because my motive keeps me driven. It’s not about me when it comes down to it. It’s about leaving the world a better place & putting the needs of others in the spotlight with me. I try to be as transparent as possible on social media so that people feel less alone in their struggles. The feedback I’ve received reminds me why I do any of this & how great it would be to do more.

What’s one tip you would give to a person just starting their fitness journey?
Your journey starts in your thoughts. You have to love your body where it is at right now, & thank it every day for every where that it takes you & everything that it does for you. You are beautiful even before you see results. If you don’t feel these things, your journey will be hard because negativity breeds negativity & you will reflect that in your image. On the contrary, even when you don’t have those feelings no matter how hard you try.. Just get moving. Motion before emotion. Start loving on your body in the gym & it will help those good feelings become stronger.

What’s one of your favorite quotes?
No. – Rosa Parks.

What’s next for Jade Bryce?
I’m having to play it by ear right now & really trust the universe.. But I’d love to continue in the MMA industry as well as pursue the film industry. That’s not easy for where I’m at in life. I have to really meditate on what the right path is right now to achieve the goals I listed above. I also want to go live in south east Asia soon, for just a year. I want to do this before my son is in school… So sometime in the next 4 years. If they will allow it, I’d also like to attend, as a family, the School of Compassion for a month in Tibet.
I’m ready for whatever the universe has for me! Be a light!

????What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.???? Start your weekend with this in mind… ????☀️
