Alessandra Sironi – Interview & Photos

How and when did you get started in training and living a fit lifestyle?
I started training just 1 year ago when I realized my metabolism was no longer the same. I began weight lifting 1 hour a day 5 days a week during the night (including 40 minutes of cardio at the end).

What got you started in the fitness industry?
I used to eat a lot and train nothing, and my body maintained its shape. However when I turned 21, everything changed. I started noticing my belly wasn’t flat anymore, my butt did not look good and all the junk food I ate was affecting my body.

Along your fitness journey, have you ever felt like quitting… and if so what/who motivated you to keep going?
Yes, I have. Sometimes I couldn’t fit my workout on my schedule so I stopped for weeks when I was busy. It was difficult to go back on track after so many weeks off. However, I decided to organize my schedule better in order to at least workout 40 to 60 minutes a day.

What types of cardio have worked best for you?
I normally do my cardio after my weightlifting session. But I notice my body gets used to it, So I try to change the routine every now and then. (Including cardio in-between sets; like rope jumping or sprints) One must change the exercises; it’s better to keep challenging the body.

What supplements do you use… and what are some of your favorites you would recommend?
I don’t like taking a lot of supplements. Only fish oil and multivitamins. And of course my protein shakes (My favorite brand is Dymatize, I really recommend it)

When you look back what do you think has been the key to achieving your goals?
Organization and constance is my key. When I don’t feel like working out is usually when I workout the most. Every person in the world has at least 40 minutes a day to dedicate to oneself, and that’s exactly what I do everyday of my life.

What’s one tip you would give to a person just starting their fitness journey?
My only advice is: DO NOT compare yourself to anyone. Each person is difficult, find the way that works for you and never stop pushing yourself.

What’s next for you?
I would want to compete in order to add to my modeling career the tittle of: bikini competitor.
